Luna Bridal

About Us

We believe one meeting can change your life.

Our Story

Luna Bridal is run by a Taiwanese husband and a Japanese wife. We met and married through IBJ's matchmaking network. That firsthand experience helps us understand the anxiety of getting started, the doubt of wondering, "Will I really meet the right person?", and the many concerns that can arise along the way. As an international couple from Taiwan and Japan, we have also experienced differences in culture and values ourselves. For those considering marriage with someone of a different nationality, we offer advice grounded in real experience, not just ideals. We hope our experience can become a source of strength on your own path to a happy marriage.

At 33, with a growing sense of urgency to be married by 35, I joined a marriage agency. Omiai and dating brought their share of doubts, including the question, "Is this really the right person?" Everything changed when my counselor encouraged me to meet someone from overseas. Although I had studied abroad and loved to travel, it was an option I had never considered. That suggestion led me to my husband. We built a relationship across differences in nationality and culture, and eventually married. Years as a nurse taught me to listen closely and respect each person's feelings and circumstances. Combined with my own matchmaking experience, that perspective helps me understand the anxieties of choosing a partner and the questions that can arise in international matchmaking. More than simply introducing someone who checks the right boxes, I hope to help you meet a person who makes you feel, "I like who I am when I'm with this person." Having faced the uncertainties of matchmaking myself, I will listen carefully and support you throughout your journey.

Graduate school took me to the U.S., followed by work in Silicon Valley. After relocating to Japan, I built a career spanning more than a decade in the IT industry. Work and technology came naturally; dating did not. Dating apps and introductions from friends never led to the marriage I hoped for, and the search could be discouraging at times. Joining a marriage agency changed that. In a setting where people were serious about marriage, I met my wife. Life in Japan as a foreigner, along with my own experience searching for a partner as a man, gives me firsthand insight into the challenges of matchmaking. I understand that differences in nationality and culture can raise questions, as can concerns specific to men's experiences. My goal is to help you find a partner who feels right for you. A change in how you meet people can open the door to a different future. I would be glad to draw on my experience and help you think through that first step.
